Student Loan in Indonesia - Thread Not Solved Yet

These days, many Banks and funding companies offer some easy personal loan. They offer many benefits from their program. Low interest, flat interest, prizes, no mortgage, etc.

But people tend to spend their loan for consumtif activity. They spend much for clothes, jewelry, life style, and others activity with no potential regain and benefits.

People with this trend will be stuck on debt. But, Bank and funding companies still offering this easy personal loan.

In 1981 my father applied a student loan to Bank Rakyat Indonesia for fund his university degree at UNS solo. The Bank Rakyat Indonesia agree to funding his degree with their student loan program. The Bank gave IDR 500K every year for 5 years untill my father graduated. They gave my father 5 more year before start to pay the instalment for another 5 year.

The Student Loan proved very helpful for my father to gain his degree. And its easy procedure and long term payment helps my father to setting up his life, get a job, build a familly before start to pay the instalment. Very very useful loan compare to the personal loan which intended to consumtif activity.

Now days, Is the any bank in Indonesia who offer student loan? There are many many High School student all around Indonesia who can't step to their next level of education because have no money. And they will ended as blue collar worker, tend to be one of many povert in our country.

If there were any easy student loan with minimal procedure just like one that my father had, it will help many Indonesian Youth from drop-out from their education ladder.
